Georgia is a Hollywood film project about the Russia-Georgia conflict which turned into the 2008 South Ossetia war in August, 2008. Director and co-producer of this project is the Finnish-American film director and producer Renny Harlin. Filming started in October, 2009, in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. The Georgian Military provided military equipment, uniforms, tanks, and helicopters. Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili allowed use of his Presidential residence for filming. Andy García plays the role of Saakashvili; Emmanuelle Chriqui plays Tatia, a young Georgian girl; Rupert Friend plays Thomas Anders, an American reporter; and Johnathon Schaech plays Rezo Avaliani, a young Georgian officer. In addition, Val Kilmer plays a Dutch journalist working in Georgia.

The official trailer of the movie is expected to appear in the beginning of August, 2010 coinciding with two years anniversary of 2008 South Ossetia war
